Considering QCDD Guidelines;<\/p>\n

As per QCD-GA 1.2<\/a>, if Electrical room < 5.1sqm and with 2-hrs enclosure, then Automatic Suppression system is NOT required.<\/p>\n

As per QCD-GA 1.2<\/a>, if Electrical room > 5.1sqm, then Automatic Suppression system is required. The wall enclosure fire rating doesn’t need to be 2-hrs as per below table;<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Considering NFPA 13;<\/p>\n

  1. 8.15.10.3 Sprinklers shall not be required in electrical equipment rooms where all of the following conditions are met:
    \n(1) The room is dedicated to electrical equipment only.
    \n(2) Only dry-type electrical equipment is used.
    \n(3) Equipment is installed in a 2-hour fire-rated enclosure including protection for penetrations.
